The exhibition is an installation representing a discotheque of yesteryear, an empty room lit with a discoball and confetti scattered on the floor. The walls are covered with images of dancers and dance groups in London, using experimental forms of photography. A projection piece displays moving shadows of dance forms. In a quirky recreation, the viewers find themselves immersed in a soulful experience, connected as performers and onlookers with their physical surroundings. It aims to capture the modern essence of the funk genre today - as a music and style of dance.
