India spices up East London for 10th annual Cobra Brick Lane Curry Festival

This Bank Holiday Monday (31st May) sees the culmination of the 10th annual Cobra Brick Lane Curry Festival – a two week celebration of Indian culture and cuisine, taking place at the heart of Brick Lane.

Curry experts, Cobra will be hosting an Indian-inspired ‘mela’ at The Vibe Bar – bringing the vibrancy of India to the Capital’s curry lovers. The all day festival boasts an extensive programme that blends live music from acclaimed international artists including Bobby Friction and Nerm, dynamic Bollywood dancing and authentic Indian cuisine. All washed down with ice cold made-for-curry Cobra Beer*, making this an ideal destination for friends to get together this bank holiday.

The Vibe Bar will also play host to the climax of The Best of Brick Lane Awards, recognising the wealth of curry houses that stretch along the iconic hot spot. Guests will be invited to sample five shortlisted curries, as determined by five Curry Connoisseurs, and vote for their favourite – casting the deciding vote for the people’s choice award: The Best Curry on Brick Lane.

The Cobra Brick Lane Curry Festival is a two week celebration which marks the largest Bengali festival outside of Bangladesh and India, the Baishakhi Mela – the Bangla New Year.
